It was a cold morning with lots of fog and smoke as I rode along the edge of “Highway to the Sun” on my motorcycle. I sought every opportunity to stop, take photographs, and warm up my hands a bit. This scene opened up in front of me and only lasted for 30 or so seconds before the fog swept in and obscured the sky. The Nikon and 28MM lens captured the moment perfectly.
The photograph was used for the cover shot on my 2017 book, “What I’ve Learned So Far - Four Decades in Photography”. Stories about being a commercial photographer (and person) in these crazy times. Glacier National Park, United States
